Awesome video

So I was sifting through some saved videos I have and came across this one, which I adore. Its 3 great bands singing on the streets and in a restraurant. Random but good.

Check it out!

This girl is crazy good!

So a friend of mine posted this video on her GChat status the other day and since then I've been really into it. I know its not the song itself, I mean, I'm not a Chris Brown fan. Never heard of it till this girl did a cover of it. But how often do you see or hear a girl lay down the kind of rapping she does in this video?? By far the best female rapper I've heard. In that, she can keep up with the best of them.
**She was also on the Ellen Show and did this song.

Je t'aime Phoenix!

I don't think this is the first time I've mentioned that Phoenix is one of my favorite bands!! The first time I heard of them I was in high school and I finally got to see them live when I was living in Des Moines, Iowa.
Their music is fantastic! I can serioualy just put it on repeat and listen to it all day long!

This is my favorite video to "Lisztomania" (not the music video).
If you like The Breakfast Club" then I bet you'll like this video!

A Classic
Terrific Song! There are some great remixes of this one!

J'ai une affinité pour la mode française. C'est que, je ne sais quoi. In their case a great stylist too. These pictures are promo shots but still... LOVE the look :)

J'adore la bande Phoenix et leur façon de s'habiller. Je pense qu'il est sexy. Haha c'est la façon dont les hommes doivent s'habiller.

They need to go on tour in the US again! I can't imagine there being a price that I wouldn't pay to see them again!!!
They give an AMAZING live show :)

My Fav!
Not the best recording ever, but you get the picture.

Another great one!
A great go-to Phoenix song!

Another day...

I have got into this band again, Telepopmusik. They are great. The lead singer is from another one of my favorite french bands, Autour de Lucie.

Roof top tanning

I love tanning just as much as the next person and perhaps even more. Sadly (or not so sad) I have a big kid job now where I have to go to work 5 days a week, 9-5. This puts a serious damper on my tanning time.
I remember last summer and every summer before that (yes I know I was in HS and college, but still) I would lay out in my backyard for HOURS and lay out on the beach ALL DAY. Wow the color I was able to get was amazing! Im jealous of myself haha.
So instead of the beautiful above picture I have to settle to the picture to the right. Ok so, not the worst thing ever, but still...

I now have to get my tanning in on weekends and my lunch hour.
I recently discovered that my office building has a rooftop deck, yay! Im not like going up there in a bikini (i wish) just throwing on a tanktop and shorts and good to go. and yes my coworkers thought it was hilarious.... and then they joined me.

A Hamptons Road Trip!!!

Road Trip!!!! I love a good road trip. Open road and music. Really you can't go wrong with that.
My oldest cousin is graduating from NYU with her master's degree in food journalism- food culture (or something like that, i don't really know) She wants to work for Food & Wine, Martha Stewart kind of magazine.
So when my aunt called me and said for her graduation party/gift they rented a house in The Hamptons and asked if I wanted to join them for the weekend. OF COURSE! One, I have never been to The Hamptons before. Two... its The Hamptons, do I need another excuse lol! That place is so talked up like Hollywood and In-Out Burger. I think everyone should try the place at least once to say that you've been.

So I am a sucker for a road trip. I love them. I haven't always but I was 10 back then and wasn't allowed to drive. I have two planned in the next two weeks.
I am so excited. I just moved to DC and never had been on the East coast before.
West Coast born and raised!!!!
So you can probably understand my excitement to drive up the coast. I can imagine that I'll love the scenery :)
I made my car reservation today. So that is what has prompted my road trip excitement.
After living in a city now I am craving open space. That's one HUGE thing that I miss about home. I lived in a nice size city with Tahoe, hiking trails, and river excursions just skipping rocks away. So the fact I'll be going somewhere with a beach just thrills me!!! Even if it might be too cold to really enjoy the beach (it wouldnt keep me from laying out in the sun, baby is in need of a tan haha) it'll simply be nice to get out for a bit. Yay!

Hillbilly bone

I had a lightbulb moment just a little bit ago. Which was- when I am missing home or thinking of someone back home I play A LOT of country music. The last two days has been a constant playlist of Blake Shelton, Rascal Flatts, Sara Evans and OF COURSE T Swift.
Almost all of my favorite memories of home has involve country music: river floating, laying on the beach up at Tahoe, BBQs, tailgates, RODEO and three of my best friends- country music is by far their favorite.

Everyones got a hillbilly bone down deep inside, as Blake Shelton puts it   :)

Yoga...

So I really enjoy yoga and pilates, a lot. However because these two activities come with (sometimes) high prices, I can't go to them as frequently as I used to in college.
That is definitly one of the biggest things I miss about college- cheap gym and free excerise classes: free pilates, reformer pilates, kickboxing, CrossFit and yoga.
Yesterday I went to my first yoga class in nearly a year... Oh For The Love! My hamstrings want to kill me right now. My upper back wants me to take 4 advil, go home to bed and call it a day. Granted its only 9:45am haha but still. Am I really that out of yoga shape? eek!
While I was in class, I was fine. I didn't even do the advanced positions. Even though I know I can do them and have done them before. Because it was my first class in awhile, I thought I would take it easy. But no, my body was still punished.
Anyways.. this is just more evidence that I absolutly must do yoga more often. Not that I really needed an excuse.
I love yoga's ability to relax me and make my mind go blank. Working out, in any form, does that for me. Not thinking about work or other personal things and a blessing sometimes.

Namaste.

Headwear, call me crazy but I love them!

The fedora... my go to headwear when I wake up and have no motivation to do anything with my hair.
That and a general bad hair day. Pair them with some colorful Ray Bans (my favorite are my baby blue ones) or a pair of large sunglasses, aka Ashley Simpson, up top. Actually and even better one, Victoria Beckham. That women knows how to rock a pair of large sunglasses.

Oh Kate Middleton, how I love your (what seems like) effortless style.
I adore this facinator. I love feathers!
And more feathers....

I am loving Facinators!! I think they are tres chic and add that pop of color and uniquness to any outfit.
